Charity Bear set for Japan Earthquake Relief

Hi, Everyone. Good evening.  I haven't write anything on my blog. Recently,  I am very busy on my work and attended several overseas exhibition for the past few months.

11 days ago, On March 11, 2011, a horrible Earthquake hits Japan, churning up a devastating tsunami that swept over cities and farmland in the northern part of the country and set off warnings as far away the west coast of the United States and South America. Recorded as 8.9 on the Richter scale, it was the most powerful quake ever to hit the country. As the nation struggled with a rescue effort, it also faced the worst nuclear emergency since Chernobyl; explosions and leaks of radioactive gas took place in three reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station that suffered partial meltdowns, while spent fuel rods at another reactor overheated and caught fire, releasing radioactive material directly into the atmosphere. Japanese officials turned to increasingly desperate measures, while their American counterparts gave a far more dire appraisal of the dangers. Today, The government raised the official death toll upward to 9,079, and said more than 12,600 were missing.

I made many phone calls to all my Japanese friends after tsunami.  Luckily, most of them are safety.  When I heard their voice and knew that they are fine. I cried immediately.  Unfortunately, I cannot get in touch with one of my Japanese friend now. I am so worry about her and her family. Hope they are fine.  I always ask myself everyday after this disaster. "what can I do for Japanese?" , "How can I do the best for them".  Finally, I made up my decision.  I designed a set of bear and raising a fund and will send FULL amount to Japan Consulate Hong Kong.  I am sure that this fund will be delivered and help all Japanese who are suffering.

I am now hard working on it and hope that this set of bear will be finished next 3 days.  I will post it on here and my facebook for charity auction.

Hope everyone can forward my message to your friends. Hope all Japanese can recover as soon as possible.

Warmest regards,
Sueyi Tam
